A patch opens up new character builds in Avowed
Obsidian's action RPG Avowed has rapidly become one of the best releases on Microsoft's platforms. The game is fairly popular on PC and Xbox platforms, and it has positioned itself far ahead of many AAA titles released recently. The game's limited budget has not been an impediment for Obsidian Entertainment to create an experience whose narrative and gameplay are quite appealing to the fans of the genre, despite some obvious limitations. Also, the developer studio is taking feedback from the community very seriously after launch, and this is reflected in the changes implemented in the latest patches.
Patch 1.3.0
A few days ago, Avowed was updated to the 1.3.0 version. Obsidian released a massive patch that is even bigger than the previous 1.2.2 update. It introduces a series of improvements for HUD, camera, and controller options and functionalities, allowing for a better gameplay experience. Also, the patch includes a series of bug fixes and gameplay improvements that contribute to making Avowed gameplay much better. Perhaps, the most significant of these is an increase in the number of talent points that players receive as they level. Players will now receive an additional talent point at levels 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30. This change is retroactive so you still receive those points if you are past those levels in the game. Six total talent points through the course of the game is not a trivial thing as they provide players with new possibilities to create exciting builds and open the path to new combinations.
If you want to know in detail about all the changes included in patch 1.3.0 you can check them out in the official patch notes. With these changes, Obsidian managed to push Avowed one step further and contributed to maintaining the game as a solid choice for those who are looking for a new RPG experience. Obsidian Entertainment will share the game's post-launch roadmap in the coming weeks and we will find out if the game will receive additional content in the form of an expansion.
