A fan-favorite Steam game is now available to download for free - but not for long

A popular game on Steam is currently up for grabs at no cost, but only for a limited period. However, the offer is not coming directly from Valve or the Steam store, but through Fanatical, an authorized third-party seller of Steam keys. To obtain a free Steam key for this game, all you need to do is sign up for the Fanatical newsletter, and you can opt out of it at any time.

When it comes to the game in question, it was released in 2021, a year that brought gamers titles such as It Takes Two, Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Deathloop, Streets of Rage 4, Hitman 3, Metroid Dread, Psychonauts 2, The Forgotten City, and Returnal, alongside some other notable games. As is typical after the launch of a new console generation, it was a relatively light year.  Another release from 2021 was Astronarch by solo developer Dale Turner.

If you're unfamiliar, Astronarch is a combination of a roguelike and an auto-battler, and according to Steam user reviews, it's quite impressive. As of now, the game has garnered 774 user reviews, with 91 percent of them being positive, resulting in a "Very Positive" rating on Steam. This is the second-highest rating attainable on Steam, just a few points shy of the highest rating. Typically priced at $14.99, this represents significant savings for a game that can be completed in a few hours, but usually takes 25 to 35 hours to fully experience. Being a roguelike, it's technically possible to complete it very swiftly if you are fortunate and proficient enough.
