Halo: Combat Evolved is available on PC

When the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC was announced, all the fans of the series were quite happy to be able to experience remastered versions of all of the games in the Halo series on a platform different than Xbox, but that excitement went down a notch when it was announced that the release of the five games included in the pack would be done progressively. Halo Reach was the first title to appear and it was released in December 2019 and since then, players have been eagerly waiting for the release of the next title. Microsoft launched Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary yesterday, and it was a very nice surprise for the fans of the series.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is the remastered edition of the first game in the Halo series. The original game was developed by Bungie and it was launched in 2001 for Xbox. It's a first-person shooter that follows the story of the Master Chief, a cybernetically enhanced supersoldier who fights aliens in the artificial world that gives name to the title.

This new version of Halo: Combat Evolved supports graphics in 4K and up to 60 fps on PC. If you already own Halo: The Master Chief Collection it should be unlocked for you already, but if you don't want to get all the five games included in the collection you can purchase Halo: Combat Evolved separately.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection includes access to Halo Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4 and it is a great way of getting all the installments in the series in a single pack for PC. Although there is no release date for the next title we expect it to happen in the following months.
