Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game is a side-scrolling beat 'em up game inspired by the Scott Pilgrim comic series and 2010 movie adaptation. The game was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and released in 2010, coinciding with the movie's release. It features four playable characters, including Scott Pilgrim, Ramona Flowers, Stephen Stills, and Kim Pine, as they battle their way through levels based on locations from the comic series and movie.

The gameplay is reminiscent of classic arcade games like Double Dragon and Streets of Rage. The player must fight their way through waves of enemies while collecting coins to buy upgrades and health items. Each character has its own unique move set, and the player can level up throughout the game to gain new abilities. The game also features local co-op multiplayer, allowing up to four players to play together on the same screen. One of the standout features of the game is the colorful and retro-inspired graphics. The game features pixel art and chiptune music that perfectly captures the nostalgic feel of classic arcade games. The game also features plenty of references to the comic series and movie, with hidden Easter eggs and callbacks for fans to discover.

Overall, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game is a fun and engaging throwback to classic beat 'em-up games. It perfectly captures the spirit of the comic series and movie while delivering solid gameplay and memorable characters. Despite being released over a decade ago, the game still holds up as a must-play for fans of the series and anyone looking for a nostalgic gaming experience.
