Follow the epic adventure of a knight that returns to his homeland to find it invaded by obscure forces. Infernax is an arcade-style video game that reminisces great titles of the genre like Castlevania. The game features very simple gameplay mechanics and serious difficulty, and it pits you against countless monsters through multiple levels as you explore a large map. As a knight, your duty is to find the origin of the evil creatures that have invaded your homeland to free it from the darkness.
In Infernax, you start equipped with a simple mace, but as you progress through the game and complete quests, you gain experience and gold that you can use to enhance your combat capabilities and buy additional weapons and armor. You can also unlock powerful spells to protect yourself and lay waste to your enemies. You will face countless unholy enemies and traps as you navigate the different areas in the game. Although it's possible to save your progress and recover your health at certain altars spread through the levels, every time you die, you will lose all the gold and experience gained after your last save.
As you progress through the game, you will have to make choices, and every decision you take will have consequences that you will have to face, and that will lead to a different possible ending of the game.
