The enemy is fear, and the weapons are cards. Neurodeck is a turn-based roguelike deck-building game where you combat phobias by collecting and using as many curative cards as possible. It’s a war for mental health and it's sink or swim because if you lose, you have to start over.

The story follows two people: Lei, an immigrant who has recently moved to a new country, and Jupiter, an older woman whose children have left home and is now experiencing an empty nest syndrome. You descend into a mental maze where you do battle with their phobias, each of whom takes the form of surreal monsters. In your arsenal, you’ll find various cards pertaining to self-care and mental health, such as getting a dog or hugging a loved one. Much like Slay the Spire, you build your collection as you defeat phobias and go through the game. Over time, you may even level up the stats of your characters using a light RPG mechanic.
