    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How does the flow mechanic, where the characters leave trails, interact with the combat encounters within the game's arenas?
The trails you leave behind as you move influence combat by creating zones that boost or hinder your abilities and the enemies. They also can set up combos.
Can the player customize the effects or appearance of the 'Flow' trails left behind by Yu and Kay, and if so, how deeply?
While the base color and visual style of the Flow trails is fixed for each character, players can unlock special effects, that are applied based on the terrain.
Beyond combat, what is the primary gameplay impact of the characters' ability to 'glide' using the flow mechanic?
Gliding is essential for traversal, allowing access to new areas, solving environmental puzzles, and discovering hidden resources.
In the game, how is the narrative and relationship between Yu and Kay specifically advanced through the mechanics of the combat system?
Combat requires cooperation and communication, with abilities designed to be used together. Successfully coordinating attacks and strategies strengthens the bond between Yu and Kay, influencing dialogue and story beats.
How does the game's crafting system interact with the flow mechanic, if at all?
Crafting resources are often found in areas that need flow trails to access. The flow trails can be used to create shortcuts to collect more resources, and craft more powerful items.
