One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is the first action fighting game based on the popular anime and manga One Punch Man series. The game will feature 3 vs. 3 battles, where players can form powerful teams using many familiar faces, the first confirmed playable characters being Genos, Hellish Blizzard, Mumen Rider, Speed-o'-Sound Sonic and Saitama. If you are a fan of One Punch Man, you know already that the main character, Saitama is so powerful that he only needs one punch to end all fights. This is, of course, a problem when you try to make a game based on the anime. Bandai Namco has solved this problem in a very original and fun way. The game features a unique "Hero Arrival" mechanic surrounding the series main character, Saitama. That means that if you select him, he will be always late to the fight, so you have to survive with your other two characters until then. If two Saitamas fight, they can deal damage to each other, but they will not flinch. Only one Saitama can defeat another Saitama, and it will result in the defeated Saitama to go away to do something else, instead of a defeat.
You create your own character, and it can be as wacky as you expect from the series. At the start, you will only have one move, the Consecutive Normal Punches and you will require the help from Saitama to save you, but as the game moves forward, you will enroll in the Hero Association and slowly work your way up the Heroes ranks when you perform the varied jobs the local Hero Association posts and make contributions to society. This will open the door to new missions and quests to take on, unlocking new parts of town for you to go and explore. As you explore the game, you encounter other characters from the anime. This is a great option if you like fighting games with a bit of sense of humor.
