It revolves around the self-proclaimed heroine named Neptune, who awoke in a familiar world but without any memories of anything except for her name. Neptune is helped by Chrome and three other familiar faces (Noire, Blanc, and Vert) from the Neptunia series. and she goes on a journey through mysterious lands in an attempt to regain the memories she lost.
They will realize that the world is under attack by an enemy who wants to bring back the time where 2D reigns supreme. Neptune and her friends must save the 3D world, or they will become flattened versions of themselves forever.

Journeying as one – The four goddesses can swap on-the-fly during the battle. This means players can change their battle formation type to cause more damage and more devastating attack combos. Depending on who is leading the group, you can strategize your formation to maximize damage – use Strike, Support, Heal, and Magic.
Use Break Attacks – Break Attacks will help you get the victory you want. Armed with your classic abilities to transform, you can also gain more stat bonuses to enhance your attacks.
