DAVE THE DIVER – Everything About the In the Jungle Content Pack

On June 18th, 2026, the developer of the game DAVE THE DIVER just released a brand new DLC: DAVE THE DIVER - In the Jungle Content Pack. Let's explore what features are included in this DLC.

The DLC expansion changes the settings from the Blue Hole to a jungle environment. Dave and his crew travel to investigate a mysterious phenomenon in the village of Utara. Gamers will be expected to have around 10 hours of additional story and gameplay.

In the original story, about 70% of the storyline was spent in the water (Blue Hole), while in the DLC, the time spent in the water drops down to roughly 25%. Instead of swimming, the player will spend more time exploring on land.

In the original game, Dave uses a harpoon or underwater guns, dodging aggressive sharks, and melee weapons while swimming defensively. Meanwhile, this DLC introduces a completely separate turn-based land combat system. This feels closer to a traditional RPG, relying on quick-time events (timed button presses) to execute attacks and finish fights faster.

The DLC also introduces a new progression system that relies on a new social system within Utara Village that mirrors games like Stardew Valley. You spend a lot of time talking to NPCs, running fetch quests for them, and giving them gifts to build up your friendship levels.

Also, instead of running “Bancho Sushi," players will run a brand-new restaurant layout centered around jungle ingredients. The primary novelty here is skewer-making mechanics, which allows you to manage different skewer combinations and tailor the menu specifically to the unique tastes and preferences of the local villagers you've befriended.

Lastly, the DLC introduces a beetle-fighting minigame that uses a basic rock-paper-scissors mechanic. This will allow players to now hunt and collect beetles in the jungle forests so they can use them on fights later.

The DLC transforms into a hybrid of land-based adventure game, turn-based RPG, social simulator, and minigame collection experience, with traditional diving acting as a secondary feature.
