Star Wars Jedi: Survivor receives a big patch

Although Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is one of the most anticipated games of 2023, the launch of the latest Star Wars adventure can't be considered a total success. The game has performance issues, especially when it comes to high-end configurations on PC, and it runs at a relatively low frame rate on certain machines. Developer Respawn Entertainment already acknowledged those problems and apologized for them, while promising updates to fix them as soon as possible. Well, the fans of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order didn't need to wait much since the big first patch for the game is already available.

A lots of fixes

The update targets various performance issues and crashes on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but it also includes performance improvements for PC. You can read all the changes below:

• Multiple crashes fixed across PlayStation and Xbox Series X/S and various areas of the game.
• Fixed crashes that were tied to skipping cinematics.
• Performance improvements across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series XIS.
• Fixed an issue with dynamic cloth inside the Mantis.
• Fixed various rendering issues.
• Fixed an issue with registered Nekko colours not saving.
• Fixed an issue with registered Nekko disappearing from the stable.
• Fixed issues with cinematic dialogue overlapping.
• Fixed various collision issues.
• Fixed an issue with enemy Al remaining in T Pose during photo mode.
• Fixed a freeze that occasionally occurred while talking to Doma.
• Fixed a bug where the BD-oil VFX did not properly render.
• Fixed an issue where players were getting stuck inside the Chamber of Duality if you didn't save after leaving the chamber and die.

Respawn still has some improvements to do on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor to tackle all performance issues, but the studio seems committed to getting the job done as fast as possible. While none of the bugs seems to be game-breaking, the demanding system requirements to run the game on PC have caused the expectations to be quite high on that matter, and now some players are upset because the performance is not as good as they anticipated.
