Rushing Beat was a hit side scroll beat-'em-up series by Jaleco on the Super Famicom (SNES) in the early 90s. The game's fate was blurred in the West due to disjointed title changes and fragmented storylines, which led many players to not realize they were part of a single trilogy. In this new version, rather than being locked into an animation—which can break the combat flow—most actions can be canceled by dashing or jumping. This allows players to maintain constant pressure on enemies and string together seamless chains of combos.

When the rage meter is full, characters enter a "Rage Burst" state, whichsignificantly increases damage and enables a special finishing move called "Beat Rush." Furthermore, players can throw enemies into the background to destroy hidden objects and uncover support items.

At various checkpoints, you'll find "Tuff E Nuff" mobile food trucks. Here, you can combine collected ingredients to craft healing meals or gain special status buffs.
