Indie adventure Mages of Mystralia is available for free on the Epic Games Store
PC gamers can now visit the Epic Games Store to claim another game at no cost. The current free offering replaces last week's giveaways of World War Z: Aftermath and Garden Story, and now players can obtain Mages of Mystralia to keep. As is the case with these promotions, you have a week to add the new games permanently to your account.
Created by Borealys Games and launched in 2017, this indie action-adventure game is set in the kingdom of Mystralia. Players take on the role of Zia, a young girl who has been exiled from her town for acquiring magical abilities, in a land where such powers are strictly prohibited. Out in the wilderness, Zia must confront formidable foes and navigate dangerous landscapes.
To assist her in this journey, Zia utilizes runes and their magical characteristics to create various spells tailored for different situations. The developers highlight epic bosses, environmental riddles, and a "robust yet intuitive spell crafting system." There are also more than a dozen areas to explore during her exile. Ed Greenwood, known for creating the Forgotten Realms fantasy universe for Dungeons & Dragons, is the writer behind this game.
Those who opt to play Mages of Mystralia while it is free on the Epic Games Store should be ready to invest approximately 8 to 15 hours into the game. The variation in time depends on factors such as individual skill, playstyle, and how thoroughly one completes the game. Typically, PC gamers would need to pay $20 for this title, which remains its standard price on Steam, since it’s free on Epic Games Store but available at full price on its rival platform.
This offer will conclude on Thursday, March 6 at 8 am PT, which is also when a new giveaway will begin. As always, don't forget to use our comparator to discover the best deals for your upcoming favorite games.
