Dungeon Brawls is a wild co-op roguelike ride

Some games invite you into a dungeon to admire ancient architecture, solve mysterious puzzles, and perhaps politely defeat a skeleton or two. Dungeon Brawls has considerably less interest in manners. This action-packed roguelike throws heroes into dangerous environments filled with monsters, bosses, loot, and enough build possibilities to make every run feel like an experiment that could either become legendary or end in spectacular disaster.

Dungeon Brawls offers a straightforward formula: fight, collect powerful upgrades, experiment with your build, and keep pushing deeper. The game features 10 playable anime-inspired heroes, each offering a different way to approach combat, while more than 50 skills and 80 relics provide plenty of ingredients for creating increasingly ridiculous combinations. And that's where Dungeon Brawls gets particularly interesting. Dungeon Brawls doesn't insist that you face all this madness alone. The game supports online co-op for up to four players, allowing a party of adventurers to combine their abilities and tackle the dungeon together. That multiplayer focus opens up another layer of build experimentation. Different heroes can complement one another, with players combining offensive, defensive, magical, and utility abilities to create a team capable of dealing with whatever the dungeon decides to unleash. Naturally, there is also the possibility that four players will produce so many effects on screen that nobody knows what is happening anymore. That's practically a feature of the genre.

Pick a side: Light, Darkness, or something in between

Dungeon Brawls also adds another interesting twist to its progression with an Artifact System built around three paths: Light, Darkness, and Balance. Choosing between these paths adds another strategic decision to the adventure. Instead of simply collecting every shiny object the dungeon drops in front of you, you'll have to consider which direction you want your character and build to take. It gives each run another layer of identity and provides yet another reason to experiment with different approaches.

Ultimately, that's what makes Dungeon Brawls intriguing. It isn't simply about surviving a dungeon; it's about seeing how far you can push your character before the dungeon pushes back harder. With randomized upgrades, multiple heroes, a huge selection of skills and relics, distinctive bosses, and four-player co-op, there are plenty of ingredients for the kind of run that starts with "let's try this build" and ends several hours later with everyone arguing about which relic broke the game.
