Captain Marvel is featured in a new trailer for Marvel's Midnight Suns

The publisher 2K has released a new trailer for Marvel's Midnight Suns and revealed the first gameplay footage of Carol Danvers, Captain Marvel. The footage details combat mechanics, voice acting, visuals, and animations, with the highlight being the character's ultimate ability, Burning Bruiser. You can check her story in the official game guide.

In the clip, it can be seen that the Avengers heroine has a versatile gameplay system. During fights, players can explore ranged combat through solar beams, melee attacks with thrusts, and other hit-and-run actions.

One of the new features is her new Midnight Suns look, enabled after using the Burning Bruiser special power. With it, Captain Marvel transforms her traditional uniform into a dark suit and is able to activate a supernova to take out enemies with high area damage.

Marvel's Midnight Suns is the new tactical RPG from Firaxis Games, the same studio responsible for delivering Sid Meier's Civilization VI and the XCOM franchise. So if there is one thing they understand, it is to create deeply strategic games that rely on our wits.

Other Heroes Spotlight in Marvel's Midnight Suns

Recently, 2K released a trailer for Marvel's Midnight Suns to introduce the gameplay mechanics of Doctor Strange. With a new hooded look, the wizard uses spells and strikes in areas to manipulate time and space. Previously, they also shared a video with Captain America in the spotlight, showcasing his light-based attacks against the horde of demons.

The strategic game is set to release on October 7th for almost every current-gen platform. We can expect 2K to release more videos featuring other heroes and their gameplay.
