Atomfall's new expansion Wicked Isle is coming next week

Rebellion Developments has officially confirmed the release date for Wicked Isle, the first major story expansion for its post-apocalyptic survival title Atomfall. Slated for launch on June 3, the DLC will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

A Haunting New Destination

Set off the coast of Atomfall's eerie British countryside, Wicked Isle transports players to Midsummer Island, an isolated location heavily scarred by radioactive fallout from the Windscale Atom Plant. The island is a darker and more dangerous environment with aggressive enemies and deeply embedded secrets. Players will be able to access the island when talking to a new character in Wyndham Village, who offers them a gateway into the expansion's unsettling narrative.

Wicked Isle builds on Atomfall's signature blend of alternate-history fiction and folk horror. Players will clash with new factions, including scavenging pirate bandits and a cult-like group of infected druids. These adversaries add fresh challenges and new layers to the game's already dense story. The expansion is also designed to influence the core game's conclusion, introducing multiple potential endings based on player choices.

In Wicked Isle, survivors will be able to arm themselves with a variety of new weapons, such as a brutal Blunderbuss shotgun, a stealthy bow, cutlass blades, and dual daggers. The DLC also features a unique Beekeeper's Staff and enhancements to exploration gear, including an upgraded metal detector and additional skill sets.
