Pizza Bandit is a chaotic, genre-blending co-op third-person shooter that fuses the frenetic kitchen action of Overcooked with the intense gunplay of Gears of War. You play as Malik, a former bounty hunter scammed out of his dream pizza restaurant, forced to return to his time-traveling mercenary gigs to fund his culinary comeback. Set for Early Access release on August 25, 2025, this mission-based game supports 1-4 players, thrusting you into wild, time-hopping adventures across eras to capture bounties while juggling cooking tasks.
Gameplay demands sharp reflexes and teamwork. Missions, like defending a dystopian pizzeria or running a sushi joint, require you to dodge relentless Time Reapers—zombie-like enforcers of the space-time continuum—while preparing orders under tight 20-minute timers. Roll, aim, and shoot through hordes with weapons like automatic rifles, katanas, or a pizza slicer, customizable with mods found during runs. Cooking points earned from tasks like baking pizzas or chopping tuna enhance your chef skills, unlocking new recipes. Strategic choices, like deploying a rocket pod of supplies or placing turrets, add depth, while friendly fire and exploding delivery pods heighten the chaos.
The vibrant, neon-soaked visuals and absurd narrative, featuring quirky characters like an apologetic android, Albert, deliver a lighthearted yet thrilling vibe. Customize your character and restaurant with earned credits, from stylish outfits to kitchen decor. With seven planned mission types, over 20 weapons, and 30 equipment pieces, the game promises replayability. Though still in development, with some placeholder assets, Pizza Bandit offers a deliciously wild mix of shooting, cooking, and time-traveling mayhem for co-op fans.
