FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

: Can I use the same unit card multiple times in a single REMATCH battle?
No, each unit card can only be played once per battle, forcing strategic choices about when and where to deploy them.; How does the 'Replay' mechanic affect the initial deployment phase in REMATCH?
The Replay mechanic allows you to see your opponent's actions before committing to your deployment, but you can't alter your initial deployment based on what you see in the Replay.; If a unit card has multiple abilities, can I choose which ability to activate when I play the card?
No, when a unit card is played, all of its abilities are automatically activated, forcing players to consider the full impact of their unit choices.; Does the order I play my unit cards in matter, given the simultaneous action resolution?
Yes, although actions resolve simultaneously, the order of card play influences the placement of units and can set up advantageous or disadvantageous situations before the simultaneous resolution phase.; Are there any cards or abilities that allow me to manipulate or predict the order of the opponent's unit card plays?
No, the game focuses on strategic planning with limited information, so there is no mechanic to directly know or control the opponent's card order.; How do units interact with terrain features on the battlefield, considering the simultaneous action resolution?
Terrain features are always active and have a static effect during the battle. Units interact with them based on their final position, determined during the simultaneous action phase.; Can units move through each other during the movement phase, before the simultaneous action resolution?
No, units cannot move through each other. If two units would occupy the same space after movement, their interactions are handled based on their abilities and any terrain effects in that location, resolved during the simultaneous action phase.; If I 'Replay' my opponent's actions and then choose a different set of unit cards, will the 'Replay' feature show the effect of those different units?
No, the 'Replay' feature only shows the unit card choices and actions of the previous match, it does not change based on what you choose for the current match.; How do abilities that affect 'adjacent' units work, considering the simultaneous action resolution?
The adjacency is determined at the end of the action phase, when all units have moved. Abilities that affect adjacent units will activate based on the units' final positions.; Does the game offer any form of 'undo' or 'take-back' mechanic after a card is played or during the simultaneous action phase?
No, once a card is played, it's committed. The simultaneous action resolution ensures there's no opportunity to 'undo' a move; you must anticipate and strategize based on your opponent's potential choices.

I was worried about the product's appeal when the devs released SIFU before this one, but the gameplay looks complex and deserves a place for games with friends. However, it lacks fun content/mechanics in my opinion at the moment.

Fun, but incomplete. Although Rematch has already achieved considerable success (also because it is included in Game Pass, Microsoft's "all you can play" subscription), there is a lot of room for improvement. There is practically no single player mode, and yet a "skirmish" against bots would be very convenient; you cannot play cross-platform with friends who have other platforms; you cannot create tournaments or championships, or leagues between friends.

The game is incredible in its mechanics, but the mentality of the people is just horrible. Also, you get the impression that you're playing with people who aren't serious about the game, which is a shame. For example, the opposing team is attacking but everyone has gone on the attack and no one is defending. Then, some people stay close to the opposing goal, hoping for a pass to shoot and score... (very strategic, yes... xD) In short, I feel like I'm back in the playground at the age of 6...

It looks like a beta that should be free. I've never seen a game with so many bugs and so little content.

Being their first online game you can see they have a lot to learn on the online side, there are a lot of desync that lead to strange movements of both the ball and the players however it has so much potential

What could have been a fresh proposal in the soccer game genre ends up sinking due to unacceptable technical problems and a frustrating user experience from start to finish.
