Inspired by the iconic Japanese horror franchise Ringu / The Ring, Dead by Daylight – Sadako Rising Chapter introduces a chilling new Killer, a haunted Survivor, and exclusive cursed items that will transform every Trial into a tense, spine‑tingling experience. Whether you play as Survivor or Killer, Sadako Rising brings fresh challenges and terrifying gameplay twists that push the boundaries of fear.

Sadako, the vengeful spirit, emerges from the depths to stalk the Entity’s realm. Using her terrifying abilities, she can appear through any TV on the map, striking fear into Survivors and accelerating the Condemned meter, bringing them closer to instant death. Her stealthy approach makes her unpredictable, forcing Survivors to stay alert and think strategically at every turn. With unique Killer perks like Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage, Call of Brine, and Merciless Storm, Sadako offers a gameplay experience unlike any other in Dead by Daylight.

Also, a new Survivor joins the fray. Face the nightmare as Yoichi Asakawa, a marine biologist determined to survive Sadako’s curse. Equipped with three new perks, Parental Guidance, Empathic Connection, and Boon: Dark Theory,  Yoichi provides unique ways to support teammates, avoid the Killer, and navigate the treacherous Trial maps. His story and abilities add depth to the Survivor experience, giving players new strategies to outsmart the Onryō.

Dead by Daylight – Sadako Rising Chapter also includes the Cursed Videotape Charm, a collectible cosmetic that captures the eerie atmosphere of the Ringu franchise. This exclusive item lets players display their allegiance to the horror legend while immersing themselves further into the terrifying world of Dead by Daylight.

Dead by Daylight – Sadako Rising Chapter brings a fresh layer of psychological horror to Dead by Daylight, combining stealth, strategy, and classic J-horror thrills. Whether you enjoy the challenge of evading a supernatural Killer or using survivor perks to support your team, this chapter offers unique gameplay, new lore, and an atmosphere that will keep your heart racing. FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How does Sadako's Manifestation work, and what advantages does it offer?
Manifestation allows Sadako to become visible and interact with the environment, including hooking Survivors and damaging Generators. It also provides a temporary speed boost.
What is the primary function of the Condemned status, and how is it inflicted?
Condemned is a status effect that causes instant death for Survivors if they reach max Condemned stacks. It's primarily inflicted by watching a TV for too long and picking up tapes.
Explain the role of TVs in the gameplay loop.
TVs are scattered across the map. Sadako can use them to teleport, and Survivors can use them to obtain tapes, which inflict Condemned if they watch the TVs for too long.
How does carrying a tape influence a Survivor's gameplay?
Carrying a tape increases a Survivor's Condemned progress. They must deposit the tape to prevent accumulation, but this takes time and can be risky.
What are the benefits of Sadako teleporting to a TV?
Teleporting to a TV allows Sadako to travel across the map quickly and inflict Condemned on Survivors who are nearby.
How can Survivors reduce their Condemned progress?
Survivors can reduce their Condemned by depositing the tapes they've retrieved from TVs into a specific TV.
What is the significance of the 'projection' mechanic, and how does it benefit Sadako?
When a Survivor interacts with a TV, Sadako projects herself for a brief moment, allowing her to detect their location and potentially teleport to them.
Besides teleporting and Condemned, what other ways does Sadako use TVs?
TVs help Sadako locate Survivors, by showing a visual indication when Survivors interact with them.
How does the interaction with TVs change the Survivors' objectives?
Survivors must decide when to risk increasing their Condemned level by retrieving tapes from the TV, to manage their risk.
How does Sadako's unique power interact with other perks and offerings?
Certain perks and offerings can enhance Sadako's teleportation speed, Condemned infliction, and map traversal, directly influencing her unique gameplay style.
