Experience a unique road trip into the wilderness in Pacific Drive. In this first-person survival game, you will travel across the surreal wilderness of the Pacific Northwest as you try to reach the heart of the Olympic Exclusion Zone. This region has been the testing ground for secret technology projects from the government for a long while, and it's a source of rumors and mystery that calls for unsuspecting and curious explorers. While you are exploring its perimeter, you find yourself having crossed its limits, and now the only way out is going through the Zone. Fortunately, you encounter an abandoned but functioning station wagon that will become your lifeline in a perilous journey through this unexplored land.

The Zone is full of hazards and strange anomalies caused by the old experiments, but you will need to find a way out at all costs, or you will end up becoming just another source of legends about the area. You need to search and gather resources to survive while you navigate through difficult terrain trying to avoid being killed by any of the anomalies. Always keep an eye on your vehicle, as it will be your point of reference and the best way of escaping from dangerous situations. You may even find someplace that serves as a base while you explore the surrounding territories. If you somehow manage to upgrade your car, your chances of traversing certain areas safely will increase.

Pacific Drive offers you a brand new experience on every game as the conditions and landscape are always changing in the Zone. Are you brave enough to survive this journey through an unpredictable wilderness alone?

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

: If my car gets completely destroyed in the zone, what happens to the items I had stored inside it?
All items stored within the car are lost upon its destruction. This includes items in the trunk, glovebox, and any installed storage upgrades. Consider this when deciding what to bring along.; Can I repair the car's components while inside the zone, or do all repairs require returning to the garage?
You can perform some basic repairs and maintenance on the car while in the zone using tools, but extensive repairs and the installation of new parts are restricted to the garage.; How does the car's fuel consumption work, and what factors impact it?
Fuel consumption varies depending on speed, terrain, and the activation of certain car features like headlights and the winch. Certain upgrades can improve fuel efficiency. Running out of fuel leaves you stranded, and vulnerable.; Are the anomalies in the zone always the same, or are they procedurally generated?
The anomalies, environmental hazards, and their effects are procedurally generated, ensuring that each run into the zone presents new challenges and obstacles.; What is the purpose of the 'junction boxes' found throughout the zone?
Junction boxes are used to reroute power within the zone, which can open new paths, deactivate hazards, or reveal resources. Interacting with them is a core gameplay mechanic for navigation and resource gathering.; Can I modify the car's appearance, or are the cosmetic options limited?
You can customize the car's appearance with paint jobs and other visual modifications that you discover or craft. These cosmetic changes don't affect performance.; How do I acquire new blueprints or recipes for crafting upgrades and tools for my car?
Blueprints and recipes are found by exploring the zone, discovering research notes, and completing specific objectives. The type of items found is often linked to the area of the zone being explored.; What is the consequence of the car taking too much damage from environmental hazards?
Significant damage can disable vital car systems, like the engine or tires, rendering the car inoperable. Excessive damage can lead to its complete destruction.; Does the game offer any form of fast travel, or is all travel done by driving the car?
All travel within the zone is done by driving the car. There is no fast travel. The only exception is returning to the garage.; How does the weather and time of day affect the experience in the zone?
Weather conditions, such as fog and storms, and the time of day dramatically affect visibility, the types of anomalies encountered, and the overall danger level.

I like this type of game, but I'd advise you to give it a try at any price, and a very good price at that! I think there's a good chance that only this type of game will be made in the future. These games are a riot!!!

When the demo originally had abysmal performance, I was worried, but went with my gut and got it anyways. Today, I've been able to play quite a bit and really enjoy it. Five hours on the clock, looking forward to whatever is next.

The game looks nice, but I've heard feedback that there are problems with overloaded menus that slow down the experience and the fact that it's a "survival" game where your inventory is always full.

Tried the demo and loved it. A mix of survival and narrative-driven game where your car is the most important tool you can use. Driving felt good and the game looks complex enough to keep things interesting in the long run. Excited to see more of the Olympic Exclusion Zone.

Science fiction and the paranormal take center stage in Pacific Drive, where we will find our car to save us. This is a hard survival game: we must craft and we can lose everything. The title introduces all the anxiety and tension that generally characterize the first scenes of a horror film. Nothing is left to chance and it will be necessary to find your aptitude as a budding mechanic to leave your mark on the Olympic Exclusion Zone.

I was not familiar with it before today and having seen a couple of gameplays from the various streamers the game looks very enjoyable. If you like survival I recommend it, especially at this price point

Pacific Drive is not as peaceful as the title suggests. This survival game will test your ability to challenge challenges that will block your path while you are behind the wheel of your car. Keep your vehicle intact, think about refueling and survive in the Olympic Exclusion Zone. The concept sounds intriguing and, hopefully, it will pay off.

Pacific Drive is a title developed by Ironwood Studios and one of the most played during the Steam Next Fest. What the team has brought is an intriguing survival and exploration in a post-apocalyptic future centered around your car. In fact, your vehicle will not only be your only way to explore the dangerous new area of the Olympic Exclusion Zone, but also your only means of getting out of this place.
