In this alternate reality, you take on the role of Shez, a mercenary who joins the military academy of Garreg Mach Monastery. From there, you can choose whom to ally with: Edelgard von Hresvelg of the Adrestian Empire, Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, or Claude von Riegan of the Leicester Alliance. The path you take determines the path of the story, whom you will meet, and what your destiny in Fodlan will be.

Choose your character’s gender and class, then gather your allies and form an army to help you in the coming war. Plan your battles strategically by considering your objectives, choosing which ally to bring with you, and providing them with the right equipment. Fight at the frontlines of a battle, giving orders to your battalion and switching between characters on the fly. Wisely use your class abilities to rain destruction upon your enemies. 

As you spend more time with your allies, you get to know their stories and deepen your bonds. This in turn allows them to provide better support during combat.
