Ampersat is a quirky roguelite RPG that marries classic video game mechanics with modern touches. Drawn from games like classic Zelda, Angband, and Gauntlet, Ampersat features topdown view and handcrafted environments to give a sense of an old-school game. In a throwback to these classic games, you play as a symbol, the “@,” a powerful warrior-mage equally good at spellcasting and swordplay, and you’re on a quest to free captured letters from the dungeon. Similarly, your enemies are all characters you can find on a typical keyboard. 

The evil Lord Z has invaded Gentlheim, establishing five dungeons around the town. By stealing letters from Gentlheim, he jeopardized language itself. As the warrior Ampersat, you must enter each dungeon and defeat their bosses before confronting Lord Z himself. 

Explore 50 dungeon levels, each with unique puzzles, hazards, and environments, ranging from dark castles to lava-filled chasms. Fight against 50 different enemy types and hellish bosses. 

To challenge them, you will need to build up your abilities by gaining skills from a skill tree. You can collect hundreds of gear and items on your grand adventure, and upgrade them to equip you against the dangers of the dungeon. You also can also upgrade your town hub to provide better services for each of your runs.
