You are Aywa, a young adventurer searching for your lost archeologist father in Egypt. You travel to his last known location—the tombs of the Pharaohs, only to find that the ancient Egyptians were far more technologically advanced than you expected. Now you must explore the desert ruins and maneuver through various puzzle challenges to advance through Hourglass’ levels.

To help you, you are provided with a unique ability to rewind time. You can record the actions you take for a limited time, then the scenario resets to the start. From there, a time-displaced clone of yourself will run through the recorded actions for you. Now you can use this ability to find creative ways to solve Hourglass' various puzzles.
