FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

: Can I evict a tenant immediately if they fail to pay rent, or are there specific in-game conditions I must meet first?
Yes, but it depends on the rental agreement you have with them. You might need to issue warnings or take other actions first, depending on the terms you agreed to.; How does the 'reputation' system directly impact my ability to acquire new properties or manage existing ones?
A higher reputation unlocks access to more lucrative properties, better tenant options, and potentially influences negotiation outcomes with contractors and service providers.; Beyond aesthetics, what tangible benefits do different furniture styles provide for tenants, and how does this affect their happiness or rent payments?
Furniture provides comfort, entertainment, and other bonuses. Matching furniture styles can boost tenant happiness and increase the likelihood of them paying rent on time.; Does the game simulate the effects of inflation or economic downturns, and how might these impact my rental income or property values?
Yes, economic factors influence both rent and property values. You might need to adjust rent or property investments to maintain profitability during economic fluctuations.; Are there consequences for ignoring tenant requests or complaints, and if so, how do these consequences affect my business?
Yes, ignoring complaints can lead to lower tenant satisfaction, potential rent strikes, negative impacts on your reputation, and legal issues.; How does the 'job' system affect the types of tenants I can attract and the rent they are willing to pay?
Tenant jobs influence their income and, consequently, their ability to pay higher rent. Some jobs require specific living conditions or amenities.; Can I customize the terms of a lease agreement, and what are the potential risks and rewards of doing so?
Yes, you can customize the lease to a degree. Offering incentives might attract better tenants, while strict terms could lead to early lease breaks or legal troubles.; Does the game model the aging of tenants, and how does this affect their behavior or needs over time?
Yes, Tenants' needs and preferences evolve as they age, affecting their happiness, their potential for problems, and the types of furniture or services they might require.; How does the 'city' aspect of the game influence my rental business beyond the initial property selection?
The city influences property values, the availability of services, and the types of tenants available. Developing the city can open up new opportunities and challenges.; What role do unexpected events play in the game, and how can I prepare for or mitigate their negative impacts on my rentals?
Unexpected events like property damage, tenant disputes, or city-wide occurrences introduce unpredictability. Proactive maintenance, insurance, and careful tenant selection are key to minimizing their impact.
