Dorfromantik is a city building game that offers a unique combination of strategy and puzzle mechanics. In this game, you can create and expand a village by using pre-generated tiles that contain a wide range of buildings and locations that you can combine to create beautiful landscapes.

You start the game with a stack of procedurally generated tiles that you can place on a hexagonal grid one by one. You need to strategize the placement of your tiles and try to achieve the maximum score. The game ends when you run out of tiles. You should not have a problem placing the tiles anywhere you want, but matching each tile with the appropriate ones will net you a higher score. You should surround a windmill with grain fields, for example, or put deers in a dense forest. As you progress through the game and obtain higher scores, you will unlock new types of tiles, biomes, and quests that you can complete along the way.

Dorfromantik is an enjoyable and relaxing strategy game with more depth than it looks at first glance.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

: How does the game determine the placement order of landscape tiles within the draw pile?
The game uses a procedural generation system, and the placement order is semi-random with a focus on providing diverse options while managing the number of specific terrain types available.; What happens when I can't place a tile?
The tile is discarded, and you lose one of your remaining lives (represented by the number of available tiles). The game continues until you run out of lives.; Can I rotate the landscape tiles?
Yes, you can rotate the tiles to find the best fit, but the game doesn't offer the ability to 'undo' a tile placement once confirmed.; What is the purpose of the quests given by the landscape features?
Quests are given by landscape features, and successfully completing them provides higher scores. They are the primary way to achieve a high score.; How does the game calculate the points for completing a quest?
The score for a quest is based on the number of matching terrain types successfully connected to the feature's requirements and the precise placement of the tiles.; What is the purpose of the 'perfect fit' bonus?
Perfect fits offer a small but consistent point bonus. The bonus encourages thoughtful placement and can significantly contribute to a higher final score.; Are there any limitations on how many tiles can connect to a specific terrain type?
No, there is no inherent limit. However, the game encourages thoughtful placement to maximize quest completion and point gains.; How are biomes integrated into the gameplay?
Biomes are aesthetic variations of terrain. They don't have gameplay implications but influence the appearance of your landscape.; What is the function of the 'coins' that are awarded?
Coins are used to unlock new tiles and features in the game. You collect coins as you play, and they are spent in the game's menu to unlock new content.; Does the game have an ending?
The game does not have a definitive ending. The game ends when you run out of tiles. Your objective is to achieve the highest possible score before your game ends.
