    An alternate history awaits to be told in Curious Expedition 2, a roguelike narrative RPG set in the late 1880s. In this world, mysterious islands have begun appearing in the oceans. The Explorers Club has commissioned you to conduct an expedition to these new lands to bring back treasures to the upcoming Paris World Fair. What follows is an epic story, as you brave the dangers of this strange new world fraught with creatures and exotic people.

    Curious Expedition 2 features a procedurally-generated world. Each playthrough introduces new environments for you to explore. Likewise, the narrative also changes to make each expedition unique. Depending on the choices you make in-game, your characters will meet new people, form relationships, develop illnesses, and so on.

    Given this is an expedition, you will have to manage your party’s resources to keep them going. You will also need to outfit them with gear and weapons and maintain their morale with alcohol and chocolate to help them keep sane through the arduous trek. And when faced with dangerous creatures, you need to direct them in combat using dice-based mechanics.
