    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How does Last Epoch's crafting system, 'The Forge,' allow players to modify items, and what unique aspects differentiate it from other ARPG crafting systems?
The Forge in Last Epoch allows for deterministic crafting. Players add affixes to items using runes, and the outcome is known. It avoids the randomness of other ARPGs' crafting. Each craft attempt increases the item's 'Forge Potential,' which limits the number of crafts. If the potential hits zero, the item is locked.
Explain the concept of 'Echoes' and 'Monolith of Fate' and how they facilitate endgame progression, including their unique gameplay features.
Echoes are procedurally generated levels within the Monolith of Fate. Players progress through them, battling enemies and completing objectives. Each Echo has modifiers, making them harder and rewarding better loot. The Monolith of Fate allows players to choose their path, shape the world, and earn powerful rewards.
How do passive skill trees and masteries function in Last Epoch, and how do they impact build diversity?
Last Epoch offers a deep and intricate passive skill system. Each class has unique skill trees and can specialize into different Masteries, providing access to more specialized skill trees. Players can mix and match passives across various trees, leading to high build diversity and allowing players to create their unique play styles.
Describe the core mechanics of the 'Time Travel' aspect within the game's story and gameplay.
Time Travel is a core element in the Last Epoch's narrative. The story sends players between different eras to prevent the end of the world. While not directly manipulable in combat, the lore and environments change across the timelines, presenting unique challenges and enemies.
How do the different classes and their specializations, or 'Masteries,' change the gameplay experience?
Players begin with base classes, and later choose a Mastery which branches into specific specializations. Each Mastery unlocks unique skills and passive skill trees, heavily altering the gameplay. For example, the Mage class can become a Sorcerer, Spellblade, or Runemaster, each with distinct playstyles.
Explain the mechanics of 'Blessings' and their impact on itemization within the Monolith of Fate.
Blessings are rewards obtained after completing timelines in the Monolith of Fate. Each timeline offers several Blessing options that players choose. Blessings add powerful bonuses, such as increased critical strike chance, to the loot found in the timeline, influencing item builds.
What is the function of 'Idols' and how do they contribute to character customization and power?
Idols are small items equipped in specific slots to provide various buffs to the character. They have different sizes and come with specific affixes like increased damage or resistance. These bonuses provide a layer of customization beyond equipment and skills, allowing players to tailor their builds further.
How does the 'Corruption' mechanic within the Monolith of Fate influence the challenge and rewards?
Corruption increases the difficulty of the Monolith of Fate. As corruption rises, enemy health and damage increase, but the rewards also scale upwards. Higher corruption levels result in better loot quality and the potential for obtaining unique items. Players manage their corruption levels to optimize their rewards versus risk.
How do 'Skills' and 'Skill Specializations' work, and how do they contribute to build diversity?
Skills are the primary means of combat, and each skill can be further specialized through Skill Trees. Skill Trees allow you to customize specific skills by adding new effects and modifying their behavior. This deep customization allows for extensive build diversity and creative playstyles.
What role do 'Set Items' play in Last Epoch, and how are they different from sets in other ARPGs?
Set items provide bonuses when multiple pieces of the set are equipped. In Last Epoch, set bonuses are generally more focused on specific builds or playstyles. They are less focused on being 'end-all-be-all' items, and provide unique effects that can significantly alter a character's gameplay.

A definite game to play when you want to sit back and just have fun, no complicated system to learn like a new language, no boring gameplay. Just pure gaming times.

Last Epoch has one of the best crafting systems I've ever seen. The system itself is innovative and fun, and the items you craft are BiS items you will ACTUALLY USE in your build. None of that infinite salvaging for resources you'll never use. You craft items because you WANT to craft/equip them. Chef's kiss, Eleventh Hour Games.

Last Epoch is the perfect game for hardcore ARPG fans thanks to its variety. The only part of the game where it falls behind Diablo 4 is the graphics, which aren't that bad. The wide variety of skills and the large amount of endgame content make this game extremely fun and a must for all ARPG fans.

Last Epoch is a worthy mid-point ARPG that has fun with its fantasy time travelling world, and makes crafting and building towards percentage point increases actually rewarding. Even fun! All in all, Last Epoch has grown to become the APRG game for ARPG fans with a very passionate dev team.

Looks like a great option for ARPG enjoyers, much more beginner friendly than PoE and more viable in the long run than Diablo IV without the microtransactions. Different classes, dungeons and tons of loot to acquire.

This game is fantastic. I don't have to use a build guide, I don't have to watch 10 different videos on how to play or beat a boss. That being said, brute forcing the game is a tough but enjoyable experience, if you go look up a guide on some OP build to min max everything about your character the game will feel like an absolute breeze and probably feel boring at that point. If you've played games like Path of Exile or Diablo, it's right in between those games, It's better than Diablo 4 by far.

Oyun 2018'den beri geliştiriliyordu sonunda erken erişimden çıktı. Diablo vari oyunlar listesinde Grim Dawn, Last Epoch, Titan Quest seri başlarıdır. Alın aldırın oynayın oynattırın. Şu an online server sorunu yaşanıyor ama küçük bir ekip işleri kolay değil. Umarım yakın zamanda çözülür sorunlar. İyi oyunlar diliyorum herkese.

Great game, played it nearly a year before it finally left EA and it was good then so it can only have gotten better now. Clearly they are being overwhelmed with how popular it is now but if you want to play it I would suggest waiting until the hype dies down and/or they sort out the issues with severs not coping with so many new players. If you like Diablo and you find POE a bit too complicated then you will definitely enjoy this in my opinion.

Read the negative reviews given by critics and you will soon realize that they aren't actually negative. They were written because people were so excited to play and then couldn't on the day of 1.0 patch. It was a bummer. I could get in but loading times were crazy. But the actual game itself is awesome. If you want to know if the developers made an amazing game, they did. If you want to know if they couldn't handle how popular their game was for launch, well... that happened too.
