The game follows the series’ protagonist Travis Touchdown in the fight against Badman, the father of Bad Girl—the assassin who was previously killed by Travis. Suda has collaborated with various indie developers to feature several elements from their games in Travis Strikes Again. While the game is part of the No More Heroes series franchise, Suda does not consider the game as a direct sequel to the previous title No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, but instead a fresh start for the character Travis.
