You delve into a VR universe in the game that enables you to use your controllers as lightsaber handles. You will use those same lightsabers to slash cubes that will come flying at you. Each of the cubes is marked with an arrow indicating the direction you need to match with your slash to destroy it and score points. The cubes and the lightsabers can be red or blue, and you need to match the cube's color with the color of the saber on every hit.

Beat Saber features several gameplay modes, both solo and multiplayer, with music tracks specially chosen to deliver a unique experience. You can play the game with your friends, challenging them to find out who is the best. FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

: How does the game determine the direction and angle of my saber swings, and how does this impact scoring?
The game analyzes the motion of your controllers to detect the direction and angle of your swings. Precise swings that match the direction and angle of the incoming blocks result in higher scores and combo multipliers.; Can I customize the color of my sabers, and if so, how does this affect the gameplay?
Yes, you can customize saber colors, and this is purely cosmetic. There is no gameplay impact.; What is the purpose of the 'bomb' blocks, and how should I avoid them?
Bomb blocks are designed to penalize the player. Hitting a bomb block results in a failed cut, breaking your combo, and taking away points. You should avoid hitting these at all costs.; How does the game use audio cues and visual indicators to guide my cuts?
The game utilizes rhythmic music, visual cues on the blocks, and distinct sound effects to guide your saber swings, ensuring you're hitting the blocks in time with the beat.; What is the role of the 'notes' in the game, and how does their arrangement contribute to the overall experience?
Notes are the blocks that you must hit. Their arrangement, along with the music, dictates the flow and rhythm of each song, creating a unique and engaging experience.; How do the 'walls' function, and what actions are required to avoid failing the level?
Walls are obstacles that you must physically avoid by ducking, leaning, or sidestepping. Failing to avoid a wall results in a failed level attempt.; Explain how the 'combo' system works and how it influences my final score.
Hitting blocks successfully without missing or hitting bombs builds a combo. This increases your score multiplier, leading to much higher scores the longer your combo lasts.; How does the game incorporate 'challenge' modifiers, and how do these impact the gameplay?
Challenge modifiers are optional settings that add additional challenges to the game. These may include faster song speeds, disappearing arrows, or other handicaps.; What is the meaning of the 'accuracy' rating in Beat Saber, and how is it calculated?
Accuracy ratings provide feedback based on the precision of each swing. Factors include the angle, direction, and timing of your hits. More accurate swings result in a higher score.; How does the game's scoring system reward both accuracy and the speed of the swings?
The scoring system rewards players for both the precision of their swings (angle and direction) and the timing. Both factors contribute to the overall score.
