The primary objective is to uncover the truth behind Sarah's past and her confinement within the Volterra asylum. This is achieved through exploration, environmental puzzle-solving, collecting clues, and piecing together fragmented memories, all of which are filtered through Sarah's subjective experience.; How does the game balance exploration with narrative storytelling?
The Town of Light intertwines exploration and narrative by making the environment itself a storyteller. Discovering objects, reading documents, and observing the decaying asylum directly reveals fragments of the past, driving the narrative forward as the player uncovers more.; Are there traditional "puzzles" in The Town of Light, or is the challenge more abstract?
The puzzles are largely environmental and narrative-driven. Instead of complex mechanical challenges, players will find themselves needing to interpret situations, find specific items that trigger memories, or understand the context of Sarah's experiences to progress.; How does the game utilize sound design and atmosphere to enhance the player's experience?
Sound design is crucial. The game uses ambient sounds, subtle audio cues, and Sarah's internal monologue to build a deeply unsettling atmosphere and to provide hints about her mental state and the surrounding events. The soundscape directly reflects the psychological horror.; What role do the "character perspectives" play in uncovering the story?
The game presents multiple perspectives through found documents and Sarah's fragmented memories. By engaging with these different viewpoints – doctors, patients, staff – the player gains a more comprehensive, albeit still subjective, understanding of the asylum's history and Sarah's place within it.; Is there any form of combat or direct confrontation in The Town of Light?
No, The Town of Light is a narrative-driven psychological exploration game. There is no combat or direct confrontation. The challenges lie in understanding the narrative, managing Sarah's psychological state, and confronting the disturbing truths of the asylum.; How does player choice impact the narrative's conclusion or branching paths?

This affects the nuances of the narrative and the emotional resonance of the conclusion, leading to different reflective experiences rather than objective outcomes.; What is the significance of the historical setting of Volterra asylum in shaping the gameplay?
The historical accuracy of the Volterra asylum is integral.
