Why Waterpark Simulator’s full release is making waves on Steam
Running a waterpark was already a wonderfully messy job in Waterpark Simulator, but the full 1.0 release has turned the popular solo management game into a much bigger and more chaotic adventure. With four-player online multiplayer, custom-built slides, a new map and an expanded progression system, the update gives players far more ways to build, manage and accidentally destroy their aquatic empire.
The response has been impressive too. Following the 1.0 launch, Waterpark Simulator reached a new Steam peak of more than 13,000 concurrent players, around 44% higher than its previous record. That jump shows just how much extra appeal co-op has added to a game that was previously focused mainly on running the park alone.
Instead of quietly managing everything from a top-down menu, players must physically walk around their waterpark and deal with problems themselves. Tickets need to be sold, pools must stay clean, broken attractions require repairs and struggling swimmers may need rescuing. Guests can also slip, collide with objects or fly through the air thanks to the game’s exaggerated ragdoll physics.
Build wild slides and manage the madness together
The biggest new feature is online multiplayer for up to four players. Friends can split the workload, with one person building attractions while others manage food stands, clean the park, repair equipment or keep visitors under control. Of course, nothing stops the team from abandoning productivity and using water guns, beach balls and other tools to create total chaos instead.
Version 1.0 also introduces customizable waterslides, allowing players to design their own twists, loops and spirals. A new beachfront map provides additional space for ambitious parks, while character customization lets every player bring their own style to the water-soaked workplace.
The progression system has also been expanded with multiple research paths, quests, currencies and large signature attractions to unlock. Dynamic weather, night shifts, special events, security guards, mascots, attraction breakdowns and spreading illnesses make each day less predictable. Players can gradually hire employees to automate the less glamorous jobs, leaving more time to expand the park and experiment with increasingly ridiculous designs.
Like Supermarket Simulator, much of the fun comes from turning simple daily jobs into a surprisingly addictive routine. However, Waterpark Simulator adds physics-driven comedy, elaborate attraction building and multiplayer mayhem to keep every shift feeling unpredictable.
Whether you want to create a perfectly organized holiday destination or launch unsuspecting guests from the most dangerous slide imaginable, version 1.0 offers plenty of reasons to dive in.
