The anticipation for F1 25, the official video game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship, has reached fever pitch as its May 30, 2025, release date approaches. This eighteenth entry in the F1 series has fans buzzing with excitement, fueled by a thrilling reveal trailer and a host of innovative features that set it apart from its predecessors and competitors. Social media platforms like Reddit are ablaze with optimism, with fans calling it a ''game-changer'' and praising its sleek design and rumored specs, compared to the previous title F1 24.

Realism taken to another level

One of the standout features of F1 25 is its revamped My Team mode, the most significant overhaul since its debut in 2020. Players now take on deeper team owner responsibilities, including negotiating with multiple drivers, comparing ratings and salaries, and managing team dynamics. Leaked negotiations can even stir drama, adding a layer of strategic realism. The mode allows players to switch between driving as either team driver, balancing championship aspirations with team morale.

The return of the narrative-driven Braking Point mode, set across the 2024 and 2025 seasons, introduces a third chapter focusing on the Konnersport Butler Global Racing Team. With multiple difficulty settings, it caters to both veterans and newcomers, weaving a dramatic story of rivalries and championship pursuits featuring characters like Callie Mayer and Aiden Jackson.

F1 25 pushes graphical fidelity to new heights with LIDAR-scanned circuits like Bahrain, Miami, and Melbourne, offering sub-centimeter accuracy for an immersive racing experience. The introduction of reverse track layouts for Silverstone, Zandvoort, and the Red Bull Ring adds a fresh, thrilling twist. Enhanced real team radio calls and new podium celebrations further boost authenticity.

The Iconic Edition, featuring Lewis Hamilton in his Ferrari suit, offers early access and exclusive content tied to the upcoming F1 movie, including APXGP team scenarios. F1 25 fully harnesses current-gen consoles, promising a visually stunning and authentic Formula 1 experience that has fans eagerly counting down to launch. A step up from the Dantesque spectacle of last year's game. The AI feels much better and makes fewer mistakes that cause red flags, yellow flags and safety cars. The handling feels buttery smooth compared to last year and the game is 100% better than F1 24. Much more realistic.

F1 25 is not a revolution, but an evolution. Although it maintains many elements of the previous game, the technical improvements, the more polished AI and the renewal of the My Team mode place it as a superior installment to F1 24. An ideal game for fans looking to continue enjoying the official Formula 1 simulation with some renovating touches.

While playing F1 25, for the first time, I felt like diving into the corners and accelerating fast and accelerating down the straight like an arrow from a bow, and while doing all this, I felt like the control of the car was completely in my hands. I also felt like I had that lightweight car built to be the fastest. It's the cleanest F1 game I've ever played, both in terms of responsiveness, handling and driving mechanics. I'm very pleased.

I understand F1 fans' interest in this kind of game, but personally I'm light years away from the target audience :/ However, when I see the realism and enthusiasm of F1 fans for this title, I assume that if you like the F1 scene you should have a great time.

A very good opus, above my expectations and much better than F1 24, which was very mediocre. The driving is very realistic, the feel is good and the career mode is very good. The multiplayer is a bit buggy, I had two crashes in just over 20 hours of play, fortunately in story mode and not in multiplayer. You "just" need a good PC to be able to play it in ultra mode for maximum immersion, and of course the steering wheel!

F1 25 really does feel more realistic this time. The new My Team mode makes you think like a real team boss, not just a driver. Managing contracts, handling leaked negotiations, and keeping the team happy adds a whole new layer to the gameplay.
