Starfield and Redfall delayed to 2023

Starfield and Redfall delayed to 2023

It seems that the season of postponements is still with us, and this time, it was Microsoft that got in on the act. Bethesda announced that Starfield and Redfall have been delayed until the first half of 2023.

No specific reason was given. Bethesda just posted on its official Twitter a note saying that "the teams want to ensure you receive the best and most polished versions of the games."

The note also promises that the first gameplay of both games will be released soon. We can assume that they will be revealed during Microsoft and Bethesda's showcase, which will take place on June 12.

About Starfield, Bethesda Games Studio said, "We can't wait for you to play Starfield, but we need more time. We are very grateful for all the support and encouragement and are excited to showcase the game soon."

Arkane Studios shared the tweet saying: "Here at Arkane Austin, we've decided to delay the launch of Redfall. The team needs more time to bring the game to life. Thank you so much for your continued support. Redfall is our most ambitious game yet, and we can't wait to show it off soon. - Harvey Smith and Arkane Austin."

Starfield was initially scheduled for November 11, a memorable date for the developer as it would be the same day as the release of Skyrim in 2011. The game gained several new features and has shown various details recently, from the game companions, their factions, music, and everything else, but official gameplay was never revealed.

On the other hand, Redfall has become increasingly silent. Announced during last year's E3, it was presented as an open-world cooperative FPS. It had a release date between June and September 2022.

Delays are frustrating, especially if you are one of those who are eagerly awaiting the game. However, history tells us that a game shipped in a hurry can be even more frustrating. Let's wait for the Microsoft and Bethesda conference, which is supposed to bring more information about the games. If what you see is to your liking, you know where to find the best game key deals for Starfield.
