Sony may be offering refunds to Anthem PS4 Owners

Massive crash? No worries, a refund may be coming your way.

Anthem has been in the hot seat since its release due to system crash and what not. You don´t need to see the number of user threads venting out in Reddit to know how disappointed players are with some aspects of the game. Even if Anthem is facing that kind of problems there are some, however, who still have hope for Bioware's first-person shooter. Sony could be giving widespread refunds to many users since it was discovered the Anthem causes a total system crash on PS4 consoles. According to a Redditor (Terry2Toke),the crash makes the console act like if its power was plugged out of the wall, having to fix itself and repair the external HDD. There seem to be many more people like Terry2Toke that had the same issues where the game completely shuts down their system and somehow causes problems to their console. The worst part is, this issue has been also reported on the Xbox One. Sony has been known to have strict refund policies but they could be making an exception for Anthem. They were quick to issue a refund to PS4 players and they couldn't be any happier. That, at least, is what some users are claiming. According to those users, Sony's customer service has been very helpful, and they provided account info to process the refund in an efficient manner. So far, Sony has used the same refund policy for No Man's Sky. Anthem seems to be going in the same direction – we sure hope not though.

Sony support may have suggested some players to stop playing Anthem for the time being until the issues have been resolved. I daresay this would be one bold statement coming from Sony. There´s not been any official notification addressing such a seemingly widespread and important problem, so without any proof but the claims of people on Reddit it´s not like you should be expecting your game to suddenly crash, especially if it has not done it yet. In any case, if your game suffers a hard crash while you are playing it would be wise to contact customer service before touching anything, just in case.
