Set in the 25th century, Rivage takes players aboard the A.R.E.S. research station, which is orbiting the mysterious planet Vesta. Humanity sees Vesta as a potential new home, but the scientific mission to explore it takes a disastrous turn when the station and its crew become trapped in an unexplained space phenomenon. When Miranda awakens, she finds herself completely alone, and the station is anything but normal.

Welcome to the A.R.E.S. station

The launch trailer showcases the game's main loop. Miranda repeatedly wakes up in the same place at the same time, while the puzzles and circumstances around her reset. Instead of simply searching the station for a way out, players have to understand how each cycle works and determine what needs to be done, and when, to make progress. That time-loop structure, which is similar to the one seen in games like Outer Wilds, gives Rivage's puzzles an unusual twist.
