Red Alert 2: Apocalypse Rising mod beta is released

Red Alert 2: Apocalypse Rising is a fan-made multiplayer mod that reimagines the classic real-time strategy (RTS) experience of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 as a first- and third-person tactical shooter. Developed by W3D Hub using the W3D engine created for Command & Conquer: Renegade, this mod offers a fresh, immersive perspective on the iconic conflict between the Allies and Soviets. Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 and Command & Conquer: Renegade are included in Command and Conquer: The Ultimate Collection.

In Apocalypse Rising, players join either the Allied Forces or the Soviet Union in team-based battles that blend infantry combat with vehicle warfare. The game faithfully recreates units and structures from Red Alert 2 and its expansion, Yuri’s Revenge, allowing players to experience the battlefield from the ground level.

Red Alert 2: Apocalypse Rising introduced features such as: playable Units: Control classic units such as the Allied GI, Rocketeer, British Sniper, Soviet Conscript, Flak Trooper, and Iraqi Desolator, vehicles: Pilot iconic vehicles like the Allied Prism Tank, Mirage Tank, Harrier Jet, and Soviet Apocalypse Tank, V3 Launcher, and Kirov Airship.

Red Alert 2: Apocalypse Rising mod brings us to engage in combat across maps inspired by original Red Alert 2 locations, redesigned for shooter-style gameplay with many objectives: attack and defend bases, capture tech buildings to gain advantages, and coordinate with teammates to dominate the battlefield. One notable fact is that while Yuri's army is not fully included, select Yuri units appear in the game.

Apocalypse Rising has been a long-term passion project, with development spanning over two decades. The game entered open beta with the release of version 0.9.0.2 on April 23, 2025.
