Modulus Factory Automation: Leading 2026 Voxel Systems
In the middle of a storm of intense shooters and harsh survival games, sometimes we just need a small corner for quiet and creativity, a place where we can find our own peace. Modulus: Factory Automation is not just a simulation game; it is a technological "Eden" where melodic music blends seamlessly with pristine white voxel blocks.
Hand-designing Modules: The Greatest Distinction of Modulus
Modulus: Factory Automation is an innovative factory building and automation simulation game, scheduled for release on April 2, 2026, by Happy Volcano (the studio behind You Suck at Parking).
In the game, players take on the role of a robot programmed to serve the Colony. Howeve, a signal from deep space causes the little robot to begin questioning its programming and set out to find its true purpose. The primary goal for players is to construct massive structures known as Neural Monuments to connect with the Grand Neural Network.
Unlike other games in the genre (such as Factorio or Satisfactory) where you place pre-made machinery, Modulus allows players to hand-design modules through actions like cutting, painting, stamping, and assembling 3D blocks to create unique machine components.
Furthermore, to produce higher-tier "Modules," players must build complex production lines to process resources (such as Polyrock and HexaCrystals) to manufacture "Cubes," which can then be assembled into more advanced "Modules."
The developer emphasizes player creativity, as the game does not force a single solution. Players can choose to optimize "Modules" for maximum efficiency or focus on aesthetics to create a visually stunning factory. The game does not impose a one-size-fits-all solution. You can optimize for peak performance or focus on the aesthetic beauty to create a breathtaking facility.
Modulus is designed as a "Zen" game experience; throughout the gameplay, there are no enemies, no time limits, and no combat pressure, aiming to provide players with a pure experience of logic and creativity.
The game features a minimalist, clean art style with a dominant white color palette blended with lush greenery (solarpunk). The sound design is meticulous, changing according to the scale of the factory to create a sense of life that remains relaxing.
If you love the logic puzzle genre, process optimization, and want a relaxing space to "tinker" with machinery, this is definitely a game you should add to your wishlist. Remember to use our comparison tool to purchase Modulus at the best price!
