Gears of War: E-Day is getting closer, and Microsoft is giving fans another way to celebrate the upcoming Xbox exclusive with a pair of seriously cool controllers. Inspired by the game’s brutal aesthetic, the new Gears of War: E-Day Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller features a cracked black-and-red design complete with the iconic Crimson Omen.

The Limited Edition controller takes inspiration from the E-holes that Locust forces emerge from, with 3D-molded and laser-etched details recreating cracked asphalt across the front. Red cracks spread across the black shell, giving the controller a battle-worn appearance that fits the series perfectly.

Most of the buttons remain black, while the X button, triggers, and D-Pad use transparent red-tinted designs. The rear battery door also features a silver COG tag, adding another small Gears-inspired detail.

 

The Gears of War: E-Day Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller is available to preorder now through the Microsoft Store and participating retailers. It launches on October 6, the same day as the game.

Fans who want something more personalized will also get another option through Xbox Design Lab. Starting September 30, players will be able to create their own Gears of War: E-Day controller featuring a custom top case decorated with a skull sitting above crossed Lancers, surrounded by additional skulls and battle-damaged details inspired by the war between the COG and Locust Horde.

Microsoft is also teaming up with 8BitDo on a matching charging dock, which comes with a rechargeable battery pack for the controller. Both controllers support Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC, Android, and iOS, making them useful beyond just playing E-Day. Buyers who preorder the Limited Edition model through the Microsoft Store can also receive free shipping while supplies last.

Gears of War: E-Day launches exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 6. It will also be available on day one through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Il design di Gears funziona abbastanza bene e si adatta all'atmosfera cupa di E-Day. Per chi gioca principalmente al PC con la tastiera e il mouse, l'interesse è naturalmente più limitato, ma i fan della licenza possono apprezzare l'oggetto

E' un bel gioiello da esposizione nei vari setup dei gamer, specialmente se si è fan di gears. Il design è fighissimo ed il costo non è troppo proibitivo contando che è solamente una skin

El precio de 89,99 euros me parece razonable para una edición especial. Si el acabado es tan bueno como muestran las imágenes y la ergonomía mejora con los agarres moldeados, vale la pena para fans de la saga.
The price of €89.99 seems reasonable to me for a special edition. If the finish is as good as the pictures show and the ergonomics are improved with the molded grips, it's worth it for fans of the series.

Me parece que el diseño del mando Limited Edition es de los más logrados de Xbox. Los agarres esculpidos en 3D, el rojo carmesí y los detalles grabados con láser le dan un aspecto muy agresivo y temático de Gears.
I think the Limited Edition controller design is one of the best Xbox controllers ever. The 3D-sculpted grips, the crimson red color, and the laser-etched details give it a very aggressive, Gears-themed look.

Au lieu de faire des manettes avec des apparences qui vont s'abimer avec le temps, on attend toujours des joysticks avec Hall Effect histoire de pas avoir de drift après quelques mois/années d'utilisations...

Bu kontrolcüler tam Gears of War tarzı olmuş. Özellikle çatlamış asfalt görünümü ve kırmızı detaylar bayağı şık duruyor. Oyunun kendisini bekleyenler için güzel bir koleksiyon ürünü ama açıkçası sadece tasarım için ekstra para vermek yerine normal Xbox koluyla devam etmek de gayet mantıklı.
