Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Reveals Final Fighter Roster
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls can be considered one of the hottest this summer, and the anticipation for its release keeps increasing over time as more details are revealed. The publisher has officially locked in the date for a wide-scale open beta, which has been revealed alongside the announcement of the final roster: "Samurai Outriders" and a unique custom team naming mechanism! Let's take a look at this information with us!
Final Roster: "Samurai Outriders" and Unique Custom Team Naming Mechanism!
First, Arc System has confirmed that the global Open Beta test will take place from July 24 to July 26, 2026, on both PlayStation 5 and PC platforms. This will likely be the biggest opportunity for gamers to experience the combat system in advance and test out new characters before the game officially launches.
Next, the publisher also officially announced the final team that completes the game's roster, named "Samurai Outriders." At the Evo event held in late June, the publisher officially revealed the 5th tag team (which is also the final group), thus completing the list of 20 characters available at launch (Launch Roster).
Contrary to many people's expectations, instead of introducing the Midnight Suns, the publisher brought in the Samurai Outriders group. This group is led by Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes), and it includes 3 "heavyweights":
- Blade: Features an extremely aggressive close-quarters fighting style. His exclusive mechanism revolves around the Muramasa blade; when the "Heartstopper" skill is activated, the sword will glow red, and the output damage will spike significantly.
- Loki: Opposite to Blade, the God of Mischief specializes in using illusions, clones, and counterattacks. His spell and ice-based playstyle is highly unpredictable, designed to trap those who habitually rush in and press buttons blindly.
- Deadpool: He keeps breakign the fourth wall with his unique personality. Deadpool is so overpowered that he... brings an entire "combo guide book" into the arena and mimics the legendary moves of other classic fighting games.
Another rather interesting detail was revealed in the preview version for the press: how the game handles team identity. In addition to the 5 default teams from the storyline, you can freely mix any 4 characters and the game will automatically generate a custom team name based on the character you choose in the vanguard position in combination with their three sidekicks. For example: If you choose Magik to lead, the team name could be Hellbound Mages, whereas if you put Danger in the lead, the team name could be Cybernetic Fliers—a quite interesting detail!
In summary, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls promises to bring great experiences for fans who love fighting games in general, and the Marvel universe in particular! Get ready for the most sought-after game of 2026, which is officially scheduled to release on August 6, 2026, on PS5 and PC (with full cross-play support)!
