Join us in exploring a game called Evil Of Fate that is offers combination of psychological horror and survival shooter with a story set in an isolated town under teh influence of evil forces.
Evil Of Fate takes you to the fictional town of Rotterwood, a place falling into chaos after a mysterious cosmic stone fell to Earth. Recognizing the extraordinary power of this stone, a priest used it to manipulate and force all the townspeople to submit to him, turning them into half-living, half-dead creatures known as "Rotters."
The story begins when Lucas, an investigator who entered Rotterwood, completely vanished without a trace. Then, a group of 4 researchers decides to venture into this cursed town to uncover the truth and perform a ritual to banish the dark forces back to hell.
The game features a very flexible perspective, allowing players to freely switch between first-person (FPS) and third-person (TPS) views. Evil Of Fate also supports multiple game modes, from single-player to online co-op for up to 4 players. The experience turns out to be quite difficult when playing alone, and it's more fun and manageable when playing with friends.
Players start with a pistol for self-defense, scavenging every corner to search for ammo boxes, healing medicine, and clue notes. The weapon system integrates a UV light mechanism to slow down and counter bosses (quite similar to the game Devour).
The gameplay weaves together cryptic puzzles, Tarot cards, voodoo dolls, and mechanical door-opening puzzles, with the core mission of the current level being to perform a reverse ritual, bless, and place baby entities on the wall to counter the witch (a boss that cannot be defeated by normal damage but must be avoided and slowed down using UV lights).
The game is still in the Early Access phase, featuring 1 complete level containing all the core mechanics, including the looting system, door puzzles, the UV light mechanism, two mini-enemies (the man wearing a deer mask and the doctor), hordes of the undead, and the witch boss fight.
If you are looking for a psychological horror game that also features shooter elements, this will not be a bad choice at all. Remember to use our comparison tool to purchase Evil Of Fate for the best price!
