You won't need the very best graphics card from our buying guide to start blasting Zeds in Killing Floor 3. However, this is one game where you'll want to target the recommended specs to experience the new M.E.A.T dismemberment system in all its glory. Elsewhere, a suspiciously small install size has us thinking that large high-resolution texture files aren't a focus for developer Tripwire Interactive.

It's good that the game isn't too greedy, in order to attract as many players as possible to this long-standing license. Let's hope that the optimization and bugs aren't too present at release/that they fix them quickly! I think we'll test it out with some friends at an upcoming LAN.

KF3 seems to go even further in the intense cooperative action that is the charm of the series. I really like the new, darker, more mature atmosphere, a change from the previous games while retaining the game's DNA. If the progression system is well thought-out and they add real follow-up content, this could become one of the best co-op shooters of the year.

The prerequisites are really low. It's really nice for those who don't have big rigs. It's not always easy to run the good games that come out! As is often the case, the optimization still needs to be reviewed, but this kind of problem usually improves quickly.
