Temtem is getting plenty of new features in the following months
Considering the longevity of the Pokémon series nobody would have expected that other companies different than Nintendo would be able to create a game that could threaten the supremacy of the license in the genre. It is true that Temtem is not the same game as Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield, but studio Crema has nailed it when it comes to mechanics and the social aspect of the game. Temtem is a pokémon-inspired massively multiplayer online role-playing game, and even though it was recently launched in Steam's Early Access it has all the potential to give Pokémon a run for its money. The difficulty of the game and the social interactions derived from playing in a world that is full of other players are the main reason behind the success of Temtem.
Crema is ready to try and make Temtem a true giant and the Spanish studio has revealed the roadmap with the plans for Temtem through this year, and it's full of exciting features.
Spring 2020 will bring spectator mode, in-game chat, chat bubbles and ranked matchmaking as well as the Club Management feature that will allow players to join their friends in a clan. Just those additions will have a huge impact on the game by adding a competitive factor to the matches. During the summer, one of the main concerns of Temtem's players will start being addressed with the addition of 25 new Temtem as well as a new island for the players to explore: Kisiwa. More or less at the same time, a new housing feature will be implemented. Finally, in the last quarter of 2020, we will see the addition of more Temtem, another new territory, achievements, in-game tournaments and more.
All those new features will shape Temtem into a fully-fledged game by the end of 2020 but we are sure that the developers have plans to add more after that. There is no confirmation about when the game will be leaving Early Access for an official release but we can't wait to see how the game evolves until that happens.
