Get Watch Dogs free for a limited time
With so many people all over the world staying at home due to the current situation any initiative that helps making it a bit more bearable is more than welcome, even if its original purpose wasn't exactly that. At this time it's widely known that Epic Games Store offers free games quite often and these could be a good way of entertaining yourself for a while while you are at home. This week they have teamed up with Ubisoft to give players a free copy of Watch Dogs, the first game in a series that allows players to explore a likely future where hacking opens a world of possibilities.
In Watch Dogs you will play as Aiden Pierce, a talented hacker embarked on a quest to take down corrupted law enforcers. Just by using his cellphone he will be able to hack pretty much any technology in the city of Chicago. Gathering all kinds of information from people and controlling the infrastructures of the city including surveillance cameras, traffic lights and more, will allow Pierce to become the ultimate vigilante. When things get rough, he is skilled enough to handle himself in close combat and he won't mind dealing with problems in a more personal way. Watch Dogs also features a very interesting multiplayer mode where players can enter other people's games in order to hack their cellphones to gather valuable data that can be sold later.
But Watch Dogs is not the only free game that you can get this week on Epic Games Store. The Stanley Parable is also available for free. It is an interactive narrative experience where you will be able to explore endless possibilities in the life of Stanley as you follow, or not, his story as told by the narrator. We can't really tell you much more about the game without spoiling the story, but it's really worth to give it a try.
Both Watch Dogs and The Stanley Parable will be free on Epic Games Store until March 26, when they will be replaced by another two games, Figment and Tormentor x Punisher.
