Dragon Ball FighterZ announces its third season

Intense fights are at the core of Dragon Ball manga and that is the main reason why most of the games that are based on the popular manga and anime series are all about fighting. There are a few exceptions to the rule, like Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot who has been recently released and it's more of a role-playing game, but even that game has a strong combat component. If we strictly talk about fighting games, Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of the most complete titles in the franchise, and it's the preferred one by the fans. Bandai Namco and Arc System Works have been supporting the game since it was launched in 2018, and the game has become quite popular. One of the consequences of that is that Dragon Ball FighterZ is the game in charge of representing the license at the EVO Championship Series, the most important fighting games competition, in which it will be present again this year.

Bandai Namco has just announced the third season of Dragon Ball FighterZ and it comes with a total of five fighters. As it happened in previous seasons, these will be added to the game through paid DLC that will be released progressively during the following months. The list of new fighters in Dragon Ball FighterZ includes a new form for Goku, Ultra Instinct, which comes with powerful moves and combos. Kefla, the hero of Universe 6, is also one of the new fighters coming in the third season of Dragon Ball FighterZ. She is formed when two of the most powerful Saiyans of Universe 6, Caulifla and Kale, fuse together using Potara earrings to increase their power exponentially.

Other than the new fighters that are coming in the new Dragon Ball FighterZ season, Bandai Namco has also announced a new feature that is to be included in the game. Z Assist Select will allow you to choose what attack your characters will use when assisting during a fight, increasing the tactical options during a fight. This feature is part of the adjustments that the developers are making to the game to prevent one-sided battles in the game and we will probably see a few more of those in the future.

The third season of Dragon Ball FighterZ starts on February 28th with the release of Kefla as a new playable character.
