Black Desert Online is adding cross-play for consoles
Black Desert Online is an MMORPG that has very little to do with most of the others in the market. With its advanced graphics and dynamic combat, it's more similar to an open-world action game than most of the other games in the genre. The combat in Black Desert Online is skill-based but it's also highly dependant on gear. The game also features a player-driven economy and detailed trade and crafting systems that allow players to create and upgrade their own equipment.
Overall, the game looks beautiful and it offers a great gameplay experience but it also demands some dedication from the players. In Black Desert Online you will find yourself killing mobs to gather resources because upgrading your gear ultimately depends on your luck and the number of resources invested in doing it. Although Black Desert Online offers you plenty of things to do, the endgame content is limited to world bosses and PvP node wars and it's not for everybody.
Black Desert Online has quite a healthy population and the game can definitely be considered a success and developer Pearl Abyss does not stop releasing more content and features for their game. Cross-play between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has been announced today and it will be implemented on March 4. The game was released on consoles last year and its action-packed gameplay is perfect for the users of those platforms.
If you have not tried Black Desert Online yet, it is a very good moment to do it, because the game is celebrating its fourth anniversary right now with events and plenty of rewards for the players.
