Infection Free Zone is a city-building strategy game set in a post-apocalyptic world where a deadly virus, known as "The Mad Virus," has spread across the globe, turning infected individuals into aggressive, fast, and strong creatures. Society has collapsed, and cities are empty, leaving only a few survivors to rebuild and defend their settlements.

In Infection Free Zone, you assume the role of a leader, taking charge of a group of survivors from your city. The game allows you to choose your base of operations and rebuild and adapt the buildings around you to create a self-sustaining settlement.

Infection Free Zone features a variety of gameplay mechanics, such as picking ideal locations to build your headquarters, adapting existing buildings for new needs, constructing shelters and production facilities, and managing citizen types and their roles. The game also introduces the concept of "Infection Free Zones," where survivors can find safety and security. Your zone will not be the only secure place in the area and you may find other survivors that may be hostile or a great help.

The game's enemies, the infected, come in different forms and require strategic planning to deal with effectively. Players can utilize their knowledge of the city, such as the locations of grocery stores, pharmacies, and weapons, to their advantage when setting up defenses and searching for resources.
