The game lets you choose between two different factions:

Soldiers are tasked with protecting a zone from the assault of enemy forces. They use guns to take their enemies down at range and can equip five different weapons. They can also project light around themselves to reveal hidden enemies and make them vulnerable to attacks.

Lightphobes are creatures of the dark who aim to conquer the zone the Soldiers are protecting. They are completely invulnerable while in the darkness and need to take advantage of their positioning and surprise attacks to overwhelm their opponents.
