    Welcome to Elk is an autobiographical 2D adventure game set on a fictional island.  You play as Frigg, a young woman who has left city life in search of something better, and has chosen to be an apprentice carpenter in the small town of Elk. What she thought would be a sleepy and boring lifestyle proves to be anything but as she gets involved in the strange, funny, and sometimes dark and traumatic lives of the townsfolk.

    Explore the town of Elk and meet its colorful denizens. Learn about their lives and help them with their troubles through mini-games. Each character you meet has a story to tell. Some names, locations, and other details were changed, but many tales in Welcome to Elk are real-life stories told by the people who lived through them. Some of these tales are humorous, some of them are tragic, but they all tell the truth about life.
