Dead by Daylight - Ash vs Evil Dead unlocks a new survivor for Dead by Daylight: the legendary Ash Williams, hero of the Evil Dead series. The Ash DLC comes with a new skin for their mechanical arm, and three new perks to keep you out of the killer’s grasp.

Ash’s misadventures began when he found and read the Necronomicon during a weekend getaway with his friends. Reading the book summoned the Deadites, who possessed his friends and his right hand, forcing him to cut it off. He encountered the Necronomicon again many years later, forcing him into more outrageous situations, until a final deal with a demon went awry and left him stranded in the realm of the Entity. Once again, Ash must fight to survive, hopefully with his sense of humor intact.

Ash comes with three perks: Flip-flop, which allows him to escape the Killer’s grasp; Buckle-up, which grants him the ability to sense the Killer’s aura for a short period of time after healing a Survivor, and; Mettle of Man, which will save him from the brink of death once but raises the chances of becoming the Killer’s obsession. Play as a real legend with Dead by Daylight - Ash vs Evil Dead.

    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How does Ash's iconic chainsaw arm function in Dead by Daylight, and how does it differ from a standard Killer's weapon?
Ash's chainsaw arm acts as a unique weapon that can be used to instantly down a Survivor, providing a gap-closing and aggressive playstyle. Unlike standard Killer weapons, the chainsaw arm has a limited fuel supply that must be managed strategically.
What role does the 'Necronomicon' play in the gameplay, and how does the Killer interact with it?
The Necronomicon serves as a central mechanic, allowing the Killer to summon Evil within the trial. This Evil manifests as environmental hazards or temporary power boosts, actively changing the game's landscape and providing strategic advantages.
In what ways do the Survivors need to balance 'scary' with 'grotesque' to survive?
Survivors need to manage their fear levels, which will trigger temporary drawbacks, but also avoid letting the grotesque effects from the Necronomicon overwhelm them, causing lasting vulnerability to the Killer.
How does the 'Groovy' mechanic impact Survivor interactions and gameplay, and what are its limitations?
The 'Groovy' mechanic likely refers to a state of being that grants benefits in certain scenarios, like increased speed, item use or the capacity to resist negative effects, but it could also come with limitations or vulnerabilities in other situations.
Describe the unique challenges and opportunities that arise from the asymmetrical design of the trial map.
The asymmetrical design of the trial map provides unique challenges, such as the placement of generators, hooks, and hiding spots that create distinct opportunities for both Survivors and the Killer, and force both sides to adapt their strategies.
How does Ash's dialogue and personality affect the gameplay experience?
Ash's iconic one-liners and personality are integrated into the gameplay, providing audio cues and taunts that add flavor to the experience and potentially give clues for his action.
What is the consequence for Survivors if they don't 'stay groovy' during the trial?
If Survivors don't manage their 'Groovy' state effectively, they risk vulnerability to the Killer's attacks or environmental hazards, and reduced efficiency in essential tasks, such as repairing generators.
How does the game encourage teamwork and coordination among Survivors to overcome the Killer's unique abilities?
Teamwork is fostered through cooperative actions to counter the Killer's powers, such as supporting each other in skill checks, and utilizing Ash's unique abilities to protect teammates from harm.
How does the Killer leverage the 'Evil' summoned by the Necronomicon to apply pressure on the Survivors?
The Killer uses the 'Evil' summoned by the Necronomicon to control the environment, block escape routes, or even temporarily weaken Survivors, increasing the pressure and making it harder for them to escape.
What are the core differences between playing as Ash versus a standard Survivor and how does it affect strategic decision-making?
Playing as Ash provides a unique perspective through his special chainsaw and perks, shifting the strategic focus towards aggressive plays, protecting other survivors, and making crucial decisions on when to engage or escape.
