You live a normal life as a student at the Shin Mikado Academy, but a barrier surrounds the academy grounds one day, and a strange Mist starts covering certain areas. Those that enter the Mist become mad, and what's even more strange is that you start receiving mysterious phone calls that connect to the Otherworld, a place inhabited by seven powerful demonic Pactbearers that are spreading corruption through the academy via the Mist. 

As the president of the student council and accompanied by several of your friends, you take on the mission to defeat those demonic beings to put an end to the academy isolation and return to your normal lives. Somehow you acquire the Authority of Vanity, a demonic power that allows you to conjure and empower Fiends, and you will have to put it to the best use to stop the Pactbearers and save everyone at the academy.

Monark is a Japanese-style role-playing game that features exciting turn-based combats in a dark neo-fantasy world. In the game, you will explore the academy looking trying to unveil mysteries and using the power of your Ego, granted by the Authority of Vanity, to fend off the attacks of demonic beings from the Otherworld. Only by developing your Ego will you be able to break the pacts set by the Pactbearers and free the academy from the corrupting Mist.
